Certainty Session

Unlike the initial meeting you’ve likley experienced at other gyms, our Certainty Session is NOT a sales pitch, nor is it used to merely take up time…

 

 

We start off with a tour of the gym and get to know each other a little, meet some of our staff, and check out any training currently under way.

 

After the tour we’ll head to our consultation room, with a clear view of the main gym floor, where we’ll talk through how the process of your first month at BSP NOVA will work. In short, it looks like this:

 

 

Next we’ll go over your BSP NOVA Roadmap Questionnaire, starting with your goals.  We dig into the “why” of your goals.  What’s really driving you?  This is HUGE with regards to staying the course to get stronger, drop body fat, and increase energy!  Because, at Beyond Strength Performance NOVA, everything is truly built for Y-O-U!

 

 

We’ll talk about your sleep, stress, and nutrition, as well as previous training and the things you’ve been trying most recently to accomplish your goals, before finishing up with medical, health, and injury history.  Previous injury is one of the biggest predictors of future injury.  We want to find any “red flags” that may rear their ugly little head during your training.

 

Next, we’ll look at YOUR ideal schedule to accomplish your goals, so that you know EXACTLY what you’ll need to show up to to make your goals a reality.

 

By the time this session is over, we’ll be emailing you a one-page plan with:

  • your ideal schedule
  • your exact goals
  • a reminder of why they’re important to you
  • you biggest perceived roadblocks (so we’re all on the same page about we REALLY need to tackle)
  • how we’ll measure progress (because, how else will we know if we’re on track?!)

 

And the last thing before moving on to the physical portion of the Certainty Session is to knock out a little sign-up paperwork get you scheduled for your few sessions.

 

Moving into the physical portion of the consultation, we utilize the Functional Movement Screen (FMS)—a simple tool that helps us to put you in the best position to be successful throughout your training.

 

With all of this information in hand, we’re well on our way to being able to write your first program.  The next step is to schedule your Personal Orientation.  This session is all about learning the ropes here at BSP NOVA…  You’ll go through our warm-ups before learning  a handful of key movements that will help us to know EXACTLY what exercises to start you with for your first program…  between the warm-ups, these movements, and getting a little sweat, you’ll have the understanding needed to hit the ground running with your strength and fat loss training!

  • Form fitting, comfortable exercise clothing that you can move well in
  • Please do not wear anything you are uncomfortable moving in!
